Session 2

And another session begins, the awe-inspiring tales of our intrepid troops begin.

Zagrief paid 4 gold pieces to Alan, to apologise for ....'our'...destruction the previous night. We meet at the tavern the next day to regroup, we try to rouse a hungover Ehnir and decide to get breakfast. Over breakfast we decide to go to the Frolicking Nymph, with some debate over our approach. It is a single story, 10ft tall walls enclose courtyard. Two Closed doors engraved with nekkid nymphs - with modesty shadows and male nipples.

Zagrief places a familiar in a bag - but he starts squeaking - 'I sense great evil in this place.' '...you're a devil rat....' 'Oh yeah.' 'This evil is hidden, it is invisible, I can smell it. But I don't know where because I'm a useful fucking rat who can only smell sulphur.'

In the courtyard, Ehnir takes Zagrief aside to discuss what's happening. Skadi and Arrok wait on the threshold, Skadi enters and walks around. Once Zagrief casts a detect magic taking 10 minutes whilst Skadi and Arrok frolic. Zagrief smells a component of illusion smells once entering the courtyard. 

Zagrief and Ehnir go inside, a huge 20ft inside is very pretty, full of pretty pretty baths with soft cosy towels. Inside is a proud half-orc, Ehnir gets a dick in his face - at a distance. There are 4 people inside, 2 in a bath together, 2 in the baths alone. Ehnir asks the orc about using the bathhouse - apparently free - but the 'staff' are behind two doors, one to the north and one to the south. The friendly orc is named NushrSkadi states that they're looking for abominations - Orc points to the staff.

We go through the South Door, where an androgenous gendered person is cleaning a table. The owner is Duke Thalamra Vanthampur - one of the council of four that governs baulders gate and knows about our attempted coup. Her Mortlock managers the estate. Arrok gets a massage, finds out Mortlock is a bit of an Arsehole, Qurmillah gave him a black eye once. Jabaz says they suspect Mortlock is running shady shit on the side, using the parlor as a front, staff are NOT allowed on premises during hours of midnight to dawn.

The orc and the guys make friends, discussing the orcs captain and generally WASTING TIME. So we head to the tavern to discuss. We decide to send in the rat to do reconnaissance and he smells dark magic. He sneaks inside the house, seeing three dark forms hugging dark clothes hiding their faces (OBVIOUSLY GOOD PEOPLE), Zagrief is looking through his eye, when guards see the rat. The voices were female. 

 

After launching a sneak attack in which We were TOTALLY awesome, we murdered....most of them and tied one up outside for further questioning. Skadi steals this evil flail, to try and free a soul or something. 

We then found this hidden room, with a spooky looking staircase down into the DARKNESS. We have to light torches because Skadi is kind of blind. The chamber downstairs is flooded with disgusting water that is around two feet deep, it really stinks. Skadi seems to be safe from it, she tries to help us as much as she can. We go down a passage, and search around, finding a trigger in the wall. I pull it because I'm brave. Floating in the water is a corpse with knife wounds in the back, he's been dead for about two days.

WE ENTER A EXPLODING CHAMBER. Skadi gets super hurt but I SAVE HER. We rest a little bit and then Ehnir goes to investigate the room whilst we wait. He goes through. East door - man wearing a bucket helmet - painted black with shackles. North - skull man Southern - cloaked figure hidden with a cowl, clutching a skill.  Probably the three gods or something. There's activity in the Southern door. 

Skadi checks out the Souther Door. Listening and opening the door a little. In the centre of the room beyond you see a lit torch. Lining the walls there are three dead bodies. But...THEY AREN'T DEAD. We fight them before they even wake up. Then find 3 books in the sarcophagus - well Zagrief does and DOESN'T TELL US. Luckily, he can't get it without Ehnir noticing. 

We go through the final room! There are some HUGE people. A man in a sack who is apparently our friend. So we attack! 

We MURDER them and get some cool keys. THen we rescue Klim. BUT THEN HE ATTACKS US. WTF. Skadi and Zagrief get pretty hurt but Ehnir gives a potion. We defeated his weird flying hands but he healed himself.
