Rain Falls

The largest body of freshwater in The Wastes. Oxdale encompasses much of the lake and considers it part of the city.

It is a sacred spot to the followers of the Church of the Rain.

There are tales the waters have healing powers, but there is no valid confirmation on that. Some people sell the water from Rain Falls with that tagline and demand top dollar for it. Others that make potions with the water claim they are more potent.

HISTORY

After The Great Blast happened Ender was thrown into chaos. Very few tales survive from those times. But one that has been handed down orally is the tale of Rain Falls and how the Gods brought life back to the lands.

It is said massive clouds formed over the land that is now today a massive lake. It proceed to rain for 30 days and 30 nights. Enough rain to create a grand body of water. The area round it started to flourish, life coming back to the land. Tales also claim the water healed those who consumed it. That reputation persists even to today.

People hailed this as the work of the Gods and Rain Falls became the birthplace of The Church of the Rain. Oxdale was built as the shrine to this miracle, but has since blossomed into a bustling city.
