DEVOTION

Devotion is the world given to someone's link to the magical forces underlying the world. It is through pure to devotion to an art, ideal, god, style etc you can produce magical effects. They believe that when one is devoted enough to the right thing for you, then you are moving both with your own true will and with the will of the world.  

Magical ability is still very rare and maybe one in a thousand people can harness their devotion to cause noticeable magical effects. Devotion is still valued for its own sake by the majority who do not have such a strong connection to these forces. Most people's devotion is focused on the city's god - LEPDEUS, the rabbit god of money, wealth and gold.
