The Hessian of Eastern Neustria are a tribe indigenous people of that region. Once a powerful kingdom they were assimilated by the Nuestrians in a terrible war nearly a century ago. Rather than being eradicated the Neustrians made them a semi autonomous region that swore loyalty to the ruling Nobles of Neustria.
During the Revolution Hessian were used as shock troops by the Blue Blood Nobles. However once the Blue Bloods were defeated all the Hessian laid down their arms and surrender unconditionally, pledging loyalty to the Crown. This has secured the Hessians place within Neustrian society as loyalists in the extreme.
Hessian are similar to most Neustrians but tend to have a heavier build and trademark grey eyes.
Hessian are also renowned for their martial prowess and make some of the most tenacious fighters.
