Axeholm is a dwarven fortress carved into the base of a mountain fifteen miles south of Phandalin. The site was an active and flourishing Dwarven stronghold but went silent suddenly. Over the long years the location of it was erased from memory as bands of roving orcs prevented any serious exploration.
