Naralis Analor

Watcher of Souls
NPC

A devoted servant of Ularan Mortus, Naralis appears to be a capable necromancer and a gifted healer. He is in charge of creating the improved undead in Iniarv's Tower. He bears a holy symbol on his jacket, adorned with what appears to be the symbol of The Guided Path.

Naralis was also the name of a lesser elven deity associated with pain relief and death – a name linked to a death god, the watcher of souls, according to legends and sayings.  Whether this is that god when the gods were turned mortal during the Time of Troubles, or merely someone that adopted that name, has yet to be seen.

While the The Leilon...Some? travelled with Naralis to Uthtower to aid Ularan, Idris was able to see into the ethereal plane due to the spell 'See invisibility' at the time.  There was a transparent version of Naralis floating above and to the left of him, one that looked terrible, like a person on the very cusp of death, with a large black twine that goes from its chest to Naralis', tying them together.  Naralis told Idris, when he mentioned it, that he had died many years ago, and what Idris was seeing was th desperate attempt to make him whole.  "It mostly worked."

In addition, when Naralis is touched, the person would find themselves hearing a keening and screaming that inflicted psycic damage.  It is a glimpse of the amount of death that Naralis carries.
"I have slain thousands of men, and perhaps the most percpetive, like you, can see this.  Not something I take pride in, but I will slaughter thousands more to see Ularan's goals accomplished.  But hopefully not needed."
