Battle against the mucus infested dead, and the Aboleth
The Aboleth is trying to break apart or drown the ship while they fight
Siax is angry about being manipulated, does incredible damage to the aboleth
Kael is dragged to the edge of the ship
Siax is up the mast for a better vantage point, Effie does too, but slides down to attack before retreating up again
Kael is eventually pulled into the water
Arya transforms into a giant squid and follows.
Arya sees the Aboleth, and also sees a magical brand on its head
Battle continues
Kael tries to read thoughts on Aboleth, it resists but becomes interested in Kael
Arya attacks the aboleth facehugger style. It is grappled and restrained.
Aboleth rips off Arya from its face and eats her
Siax hits it hard and it pukes up Arya again. She is momentarily unconscious until her name in Tiaumil' book glows and she is conscious once more, then Kael heals her a lot more.
The Aboleth tries to enslave Kael again and succeeds
Kael tells tries to get them to stop attacking as it might know how to get Idris back. Tiaumil warns that itss a trap
Kael tries to read the thoughts of his 'ally' again to understand things better, but he cannot handle the information and get a long-term madness. He loses the ability to speak and falls stunned to the deck.
Effie kills the aboleth.

The group realise some of them have become infected by the mucus. They have no way to clear it themselves or time to find another way to.
Leader of the Merdelain slavemasters house appears, heals them, stops time, then collars them all
Effie wishes for the power of the ruinstone and disappears
