One of the party meet a man from their real past life. Not the life of a Nibenay templar remembered magically by the mark on their backs, not the life the Avangion claimed they'd lived as his champion but there lives before they became a slave and had their memories wiped.
This is a man called Pluton who says the player characters real name is Strom when they met the player character told him he was a servant of Nawab Maarham a man of some power in Raam.
Nawab Maarham is a crime boss but Pluton is too weary to say this loudly or perhaps explicitly.
Pluton doesn't know this but Nawab Maarham discovered Strom was cheating him on the picks-ups from a gambling operation and separately sold him and his wife and child into slavery.
The party can discover the truth if they visit Raam.
