Actions The yuan-ti scout can take the following actions in combat:
- Coiled Strike: The yuan-ti makes a bite attack. If the attack hits, the target must make a DC 12 Dexterity saving throw or be restrained by the yuan-ti's snake-like coils. While restrained, the target takes 7 (2d6) poison damage at the start of each of its turns. The restrained target can use its action to make a DC 12 Strength check, freeing itself or another creature within its reach on a success.
Reactions The yuan-ti scout has the following reaction:
- Dodge and Dash: When the yuan-ti is subjected to an attack or targeted by a spell that requires a Dexterity saving throw, it can use its reaction to take the Dodge action, gaining advantage on Dexterity saving throws until the start of its next turn.
