The would-be avangions have slept for 5000 years. When they arise from their slumber they have been transformed and so has the world around them. Before they slept they restored the Unknown to the Pristine Tower setting off a chain of events that would see nature bloom everywhere but the most savage nature imaginable. Now, the threat to existence is not the desert but the abundance of life in all its red in tooth and claw glory.
