The Nexentrum Empire spread to encompass its neighbors—namely, the peoples of the Meridian Fields and Valsolis. In 540 PD the empire initiated the Valsolis War by conquering it in 544 PDC. With the Kingdom's victory, all of Southern Aevira was controlled by the Nexentrum Empire.
In the tense atmosphere following the end of the war,
as a propaganda move hearkening back to the kings and queens of the Age
of Elves, Emperor Lucius Nexentrum proclaimed that henceforth he would
be known as "Emperor" of the Nexentrum Empire.
Celare was the
last remaining bastion of the previous government over Valsolis.
However, eventually it was conquered and the all of Valsolis became a
province of the Nexentrum Empire. With the conquest of the Celare, it
is now the second largest city in the Empire. This has
made itan important center for travel and trade.
