Most believe the souls of the recently deceased are spirited away
to the Underworld and awake on the banks of the River
of Passage, where they meet Celira the Spiritfarer. From there, they are
ferried to the City of Judgment where representatives of the gods come to collect
souls and take them to their awaited afterlife
in their deity’s domain.
