Overview:
Auresia is the name of the Terrestrial Planet that encompasses the New World, Garrond, the Isle of Veritas, and any other landmasses that happen to exist upon its surface. Auresia is currently split into five known major landmasses, with a great deal of two of them still completely unmapped and unexplored, in addition, it is split into five major oceans that are currently known about. Scholars currently estimate that roughly 67% of the planet's surface is covered in water, though these numbers are based solely on tales given to them by sailors and oceanic travel times.Celestial Position and Satellites
Auresia is the fifth planet out of eight known from the Sun that it orbits, between Eslan the fourth, and Caliope the sixth. It possesses two moons, Goregrum and Lokmel, which orbit one another as they orbit Auresia.
Rotational Cycle:
Auresia rotates around its Sun once roughly every four hundred days and makes a full rotation on its Axis every twenty-seven hours. Due to the tilt of the planet, the hemispheres receive differing seasonal illumination, resulting in opposite seasons between the Northern and Southern Hemispheres; however, scholars upon Garrond have yet to witness or record this knowledge for themselves. Seasons are unevenly split between Summer, Autumn, Winter, and Spring. Auresia's summers last 120 days, Autumns last only sixty days, Winters last 100 days and Spring lasts 120 days, the reverse is true for the other hemisphere.
Calendar:
Auresia's Calendar is split into 14 months, each with 28 Days, an extra day will be added to the final month of the year to adjust for the discrepancy every other year. These months are:
