Entry.063 - Buried and Abandoned

• after taking a short rest, the group travels north towards Fala Taesi
• a part of the forest on their way shows obvious tracks of a big fight between two giant entities
  • investigating further, the King of the Forest seems to battle two giant, blue, snakelike monsters - but he rips them apart
  • throwing the head of the second monster in the direction the players are hiding, the impact shakes the earth and collapses down into a cave
  • Unknown and Jeff get dragged down along with the head of the monster while Zesolis and Boxor can jump away last second
• the rest of the group stayed on the main path and while boxor and zesolis try to find them, they get lost - but find another cave entrance
  • they make their way into the tunnels after crafting some torches
• meanwhile, mikasdre hears the last words of the dying snake-creature head that is blocking the collapsed tunnel entry from above, whispering "dragon scum" at her - in draconic
  • the buried players make their way through the tunnel system and encounter various obstacles and a challenge that jeff doesn't leave unclaimed
  • after falling and failing, getting swallowed by a gelatinous cube, he is able to open a chest with a ring of jumping inside
  • he is able to escape with some damage taken but a new ring
• boxor and zesolis encounter a pool of black liquid that has coins in it - and after zesolis is able to mage-hand one of the coins out of the pool, he is aware that something is really strange about the liquid and that they should leave it alone
  • shouting the names of their comrades, a troll shouts back at them
  • clearing a collapsed tunnel, zesolis and boxor teleport through a small opening towards the part of the cave where the others are - but the troll is hunting them from behind
• a combat erupts and the four players battle the troll - and eventually win
  • they chop off its head and while some players want to leave the cave, some want to explore further
  • boxor and jeff go back outside the way boxor came from and meet up with the rest of the party outside
• meanwhile, mikasdre and zesolis explore...
  • after some very dangerous climbing situations, they almost die (multiple times) - but are able to scavenge a few gold coins from a treasure chest (that was secured with a fireball trap)
  • some magical artifact got destroyed by the trap and the players almost died (again) so they made a long rest to heal back up
  • after various attempts to climb up a zip-line that lead to an elevated part of the cave, they think about giving up and just returning to the others...
