Excursion Summary - Timeframe: 3 Days
    -
    Day 1
Participants spent the earlier half of the day upgrading and tending to personal equipment (weapons, armor, etc.) before congregating within the Homestead Archive room for excursion briefing. All individuals were required to provide a "buy-in" of 25 caps or an item of equivalent value before participating. - During briefing, participants questioned the Huntsman on the nature of the heist, notably: travel routes to/from the safehouse and Blood Dome, plans for both teams (Alpha, Bravo), the targeted payload, escape methodology, and contingencies. After briefing concluded, participants marched to the safehouse with the Huntsman and Mrs. Duke, where they resided for the night.
    -
    Day 2
Participants were split into two strike teams: Alpha (Runs-With-'Claws; Alfons Wagner) and Beta (Deacon; Alexander; Arc-Eye; STOP). It was established prior that Bravo would act as a distraction for the Blood Fingers by participating in the Blood Dome, allowing Alpha to sneak around/through the Blood Fingers' skyscraper base and retrieve the payload. Alpha would then depart, following Mrs. Duke, while Bravo followed the Huntsman acting as his prisoners. NOTE: Bravo team's equipment, save for armor, was deposited in the safe house as to avoid confiscation - Upon Bravo's arrival at the Blood Dome, the Huntsman departed from the group, and Bravo was forced into the starting cage. NOTE: Alex Nelson was able to smuggle medical supplies past security. Such action proved to be invaluable throughout the rest of the excursion. Within, several weapons with corresponding ammunition were scavenged and distributed amongst the team. STOP initiated the Blood Dome proper after opening a rigged chest. - Alpha awaited the start of the Blood Dome event before entering the skyscraper compound. There, they were able to sneak past several raiders on guard/running supplies without impedance. Raiders within were distracted by the Blood Dome, which was televised through the use of modified eyebots acting as cameras and PA systems. As planned, Alpha made their way across the floor and into a stairway as the opportunity arose.

    Meanwhile
, Bravo's first combat scenario presented itself as a group of cave crickets infesting a small makeshift encampment. Bravo dispatched said crickets while sustaining minimal losses. Bravo's secondary challenge was presented as a puzzle. Several corpses were strung along the tunnel wall; one contained the key to a gate blocking the party's progression, whilst another was said to activate turrets along the roof. Bravo decided to search a rigged body and sustained several grievous wounds and injuries in a resulting explosion; however, the gate was damaged in said explosion, allowing Bravo to make it to the first checkpoint. NOTE: Turrets were used as a red herring. The true trap was an IED hidden within one of the bodies. Bloodface was dishonest in his explanation of the puzzle. - Alpha team ascended the staircase until reaching an impasse; upon which they made a detour through the connected floor. A potential complication was avoided as they encountered a patrolling eyebot. Said eyebot confused Alpha for raider subordinates, allowing them to sneak into an elevator shaft on the opposite end of the floor. Alpha rode the elevator three floors before exiting through a service hatch. While climbing, Mrs. Duke confronted both Alfons and Runs-With-'Claws upon hearing Bloodface's mention of a "turn-tail" during his narration of the Blood Dome event. Tensions waned after reassurance from Homestead participants. Alpha then sneaked through the upper floor of the compound into another stairwell and ascended to the penthouse entrance lobby. NOTE: Runs-With-'Claws spoke her first word in a natural dialogue context as she chastised the rest of Alpha for bickering. - Bravo continued their excursion through the Blood Dome after taking a short break to tend to wounds and repair equipment. A second combat scenario presented itself as an armored Yao Guai, dubbed "Peach Cobbler". Several wounds were sustained throughout the skirmish on both sides. An overseeing eyebot's speaker module was inexplicably disabled during the fight; Deacon utilized such an opportunity to Bravo's advantage by repairing the eyebot and creating a feedback loop, which stunned the Yao Guai. The Yao Guai was then forced back into its cage utilizing the same eyebot as a megaphone, thus circumventing the rest of the skirmish. - After taking an elevator within the entrance lobby, Alpha arrived at the penthouse proper. Short on time, Alpha frantically searched the rooms for the payload, scavenging some small oddities in the process. Eventually, several pictures were discovered with text relating to a door combination. Reorganizing the pictures in their appropriate order provided the code for the door containing the payload; however, during their search, Alpha activated an automated security system that alerted guards to their location. A raider of presumably high rank encountered Alpha and wounded Runs-With-'Claws, to which she promptly retaliated. Deciding the fight to be of little importance to the mission, Alpha escaped through a fire escape and descended the complex. - Following the skirmish with Peach Cobbler, Bravo came upon their fourth and final challenge: sneaking through a ghoul-infested subway maze. Bravo successfully managed to evade most of the ghouls and arrived at the exit point discussed during briefing. Explosives were placed upon a door and detonated, and STOP eliminated incoming ferals utilizing the previously acquired flamer. Bravo successfully escaped the Blood Dome and returned to the safe house. Alpha promptly followed suit after sneaking through the lower floors of the compound. Payment was awarded through caps (300, distributed amongst 6 participants) and weaponry. Participants rested within the safehouse for another night. - Day 3 The participants returned to the Homestead. CLOSING NOTE: Bloodface's "gift" may relate to animal handling of some sort, evidenced by his ability to gain unconventional animals as pets.
