Description:
The Skyward Eagle is a majestic bird of prey with a massive wingspan, often reaching up to 10 feet. Its feathers are a blend of dark brown and golden hues, with sharp, piercing eyes that can spot movement from great distances. Its hooked beak and powerful talons are well-adapted for catching prey. The eagle’s broad wings allow it to soar effortlessly through the skies for extended periods.
Habitat:
Skyward Eagles are commonly found nesting in the high crags of the mountains surrounding the Asparalo Grasslands. They build large nests on cliff faces, using twigs and branches gathered from the grasslands below. Although their primary home is in the mountains, they frequently hunt in the grasslands, gliding across the open plains to spot potential prey.
Behavior:
These eagles are solitary hunters, known for their incredible eyesight and precision. They often hunt small to medium-sized animals like Marsh Hares or young Dusk Deer, swooping down swiftly from great heights to capture their prey. Skyward Eagles are highly territorial and will aggressively defend their nesting areas from other birds of prey. They are also known for their aerial courtship displays, where they perform intricate dances in the sky, locking talons with their mates before diving toward the earth. These birds are both revered and respected by the inhabitants of Dearmad for their grace and power.
