These hills stand between Sartar and Volsaxiland Volsaxiland. This particular formation of countless rock pillars, about five miles wide and fifteen long, is all that remains of a huge ridge where Orlanth and Uroxfought against a Sky God called the Red Man of Fire and his followers. Urox sent his bulls against the Sky God, and they ran around and around so fast that the enemy became dizzy and helpless. The bulls continued until they scoured away the ground, isolating each fire demon. The bulls stood guard below so long that each of the Red Men of Fire atop the pillars died. They are still visible as the red top of the cones.
