former FBI agent in the Criminal Investigation Department, Eddlehaus had previously served in the Marines during the Korean war from 1951 till 1953. He was then stationed in the region for several years working in counter intelligence, eventually attaining the rank of Captain. After he was discharged, he pursued a career in the FBI and soon garnered a role within the CID and moved his family to Miami.
He played a lead role in bringing charges against several key persons in the mafia till his family was killed in an automobile accident. While it was confirmed to be an accident, Kyle believed that it was an assimilation attempt in retaliation for his work.
He soon fell into alcoholism and was put on administrated leave when he claimed to have seen undead digging up his family and a creature he described as monster wreathed in orbs of scintillating light and blood. Obviously, no one believed him but during this encounter, Kyle became one of the Unknown and vowed to destroy the creature taking the bodies of his family.
Many of his friends had moved off into various departments within the DOD and ARPA, so Kyle was an early adherent of ARPANET and built up data communication protocols with other field offices. These rudimentary designs relied on direct lines, but they still allowed for a massive leap in information transfer. Using his knowledge of ARPANET and other data sharing protocols, along with his extensive experience within the FBI, he built a hidden data network.
This network would be utilized by other Imbued, although it was still difficult for many due to the technology involved.
Kyle is currently one of the extremely high level Unknown among the Imbued.
