Coyle was an low-level operative of the Emerald Claw, eager to rise higher in the organisation. He attempted to use the party to steal scriptures from Cleric Boyden and then assassinate him (KA01. Bound, Gagged, and Blindfolded). He initiated this by imprisoning the party and threatening to frame them for murder. His plan backfired when the party escaped and fought him. He attempted to escape, but eventually succumbed to a dagger wound from Remora d'Lyrandar.
