The Rootlands generally lack soil drainage entirely, making for a volatile region in the rainy season. Thus river valleys when overgrown with Magnacedars are still river valleys, except surrounded by miles of tributaries of nearly 100% efficiency. They may flood to 1km in depth at the most extreme, making awareness of elevation a crucial factor in the Rootlands.
