A Trunk Excavation is any space dug into the wood of a Mother Lomoi (Boduan).

History

They became technologically feasible during the Haaru Medieval Era, and have become increasingly prevalent since then.

Role In Haaru Societies

Trunk Excavations are generally reserved for governmental, infrastructural & military applications. Their manner of construction is relatively expensive, and generally only worth it if defense is the priority. 

Some are residential spaces however, usually of nobility. These are generally concentrated in the Crown.
