A Baricycle is a mobility scooter enhanced with technology that converts the weight of its occupant into motion. While baricycles have traditional propulsion and steering systems, a large portion of their control scheme involves shifting the rider's weight - not only because this powers the vehicle, but because the riders generally weigh almost as much as the vehicle itself. Topheavy designs are generally avoided for this reason.

Baricycles are predominantly used by the Turbobese (Rename) subculture.
