During the fall of Crainn, the Lady sacrificed herself & the bond that tied her to the island to keep theFire Primordial at bay, letting almost all of Crainn burn up in a fiery explosion. This sent a wave of energy through all of the existing protectors &Knights of Crainn.Ayla was one of those who responded and came to the island. With her immense power, Ayla revives the Lady.
