Despite the weight of the family's duty, Henric keeps a calm and welcoming disposition. Cheerful and calm, he tries to remind his family that though the horrors they fight are endless, so are the many beautiful things in this world that they fight to protect from the undead scourge.
After the birth of his son Zstelian, while rooting out a conclave of vampires, Henric was bitten and turned by a vampire that derived perverse joy in turning an undead hunter into an undead creature themselves. He managed to maintain his personhood, however, and his devoted wife Sinfi swore to find a way to make it work. They continue to hunt undead together, keeping his curse at bay as best they can.
They later conceived a Dhampir child, Xir, which rustled quite a few feathers within the Ivory Reapers.
