Birth to Earth

Held in the midst of the week of Fox’s Fire, the festival of birth to earth is the only day where the otherwise loud celebrations are put on hold, as this is it’s own festival, to an older god. The women that had been spending the week’s nights in the fields today present a specific sacrifice, a pregnant cow, to Karn, the goddess of earth in the hope of restoring the fertility of the soil.
