The city of Vesperion is less of a city and more of a spiritual, religious, and academic destination. Thousands of years ago, Aarakocra discovered an odd island floating around the perimeter of the continent of Estir. This island was made of metal, and inhabited by hollow people with only one goal in mind, keep the island moving. One one side of the island was three letters written in common. V E S. Thusly, the Aarakocran believed this island to be a child of Vesperi, the Goddess of the Wind. The hollow people on this island seemed to completely disregard the Aarokocran who landed there, and the Aaraokocran decided to settle, taking up home in a place with extreme religious significance to them, being seen as a gift from Vesperi.

Today, the decks of The Vesperion are a bustling city for the Aarakocran race, their most densely populated area in Estir. Nowadays, the Vesperion is seen as a place that all Aarakocran must visit at some point in their lives as a spiritual pilgrimage when in need of guidance if you were not already born there. The Aarakocrans that were born there are seen as closer to Vesperi, called Vesborn, and are revered as more capable of wisdom, spiritual power, and longevity of life.

Recently, the Aarakocran inhabitants of The Vesperion have been discovered by scholars exploring the sky. As scholars are wont to do, they sought to learn everything they could from the Vesperion but the Aarokocran will not allow them into their city. So, they stand at the edge of conflict for access to the Vesperion.
