Born Nils Abadeer to Hudson Abadeer and Claire Abadeer, and a large extended family. The Abadeer family operated a small scale shipping company in the nation of Elbra. As a child Nils was infatuated by the new and different types of technologies that his family would ship. He would spend all of his time and money creating simple arcane mechanisms.
When he was away running a trade contract for Veshia's Shipping Company he came home to discover his families homes burning down and his family members being slain by the Criminal Gang of Hades which had ties to the Veshia which at the time ruled Elbra. Using his creations Nils Abadeer amanged to slay the assasins, but it left him as the lone survivor of the Abadeer family.
Vowing revenge Nils went into hiding and eventually became a servant of the Veshia family after perfecting his weaponry and planted seeds of rebellion. Nil Abadeer became a champion of the people and lead the slaughter of the Veshia on the Night of the Red Slaughter taking the throne of Elbra for himself. It wasn't long until he discovered the throne's ties with the organization Hades becoming it's de-facto leader. Leading his people with a fist of Iron The Red King took it upon himself to track down all members of Veshia which lead him to even take over the neighboring nation of Yadros.
He spends his days watching the Gladatorial Combat in his coliseum scheming his plans to take over the Taipan Union
