Binaries

Binaries are an entirely digital race of beings, billions of them existing only as code in the servers on Octal. Their history states that they once existed in a corporeal way, but slowly, more consciousnesses were transferred to their virtual world, and there they slowly evolved. While living in the servers, they communicate, have homes, etc., they lead entirely normal lives, they even have normal names. In order to sustain the servers in the physical world, they have a few hundred or so of individuals who can transfer between the two, while in artificial bodies, they take the name of the serial numbers for their physical body.
