The Sentinels were founded in the very late 1800s or very early 1900s, founded when five young adults stumbled their way onto strange crystals imbued with exotic matter. These crystals came from an alien pod that was knocked off course, with them intending to be used as an enhancement for soldiers to found a group of Intergalactic Protectors. When the aliens who created them discovered their energies already tapped and humans had special abilities, they decided to train the five and turn them into the first Sentinels.
