Beau Coleman was born to a very wealthy family in Millburn, a life of very very old money dating back to around the founding of the United States. His family would have their primary vacation home in the Hudson Valley, but with many more across the rest of the world. He grew up as the second born child in a family of four, and as a family of wealth that didn't require much attention, he found himself in love with photography. Admiring an image from afar and capturing it permanently, finding the right composition. And thanks to a sizeable donation from his family, he found himself enrolled at New York University for a degree in photography.
It was at NYU that he met his roommate who became his closest friend, Grant Bateson, the two lived in the suite directly across from Harris Florez and Alexander Jimenez. The four quickly became friends, absorbing two others, calling their friend group the Failures. While not the best student, Beau was a solid C Student (with a few Bs), though all his photography classes were solid As. Following graduation, he moved into the heart of Manhattan, and, thanks to his significant trust fund, he took up work as a freelance photographer.
During his time working as a freelancer, he was asked to take photos of a meet up of astronomers in Upstate New York, all watching the sky for an asteroid. While driving up the dirt road trail towards the hill where all the amateur astronomers were set up, he noticed pickup trucks and vans barrelling down the road away from the hill. Once he got to the top, he saw no telescopes, no camping supplies, and no signs of anyone... then he saw the sky begin to alight as if the sun had risen again. Embedding itself in the dirt next to him is a small capsule from somewhere beyond the stars, opening up before him, he found a strange object, reminiscent of a grip strength tester. He picked it up and he felt a sharp pain as the object embedded something in the heel of Beau's hand, immediately, the grip began to expand into a strange, short rifle that glows with ruby red light.
Beau ran to his car, stashing the rifle in the trunk of his car, he began driving all night to bring this strange tech to an old friend in Nisho City. It was when he was there that he learned that Harris and Alexander were both vigilantes at their new homes. Beau realised, maybe he could use this alien weapon to do the same in Manhattan. Harris created a custom suit for Beau, including a pair of shooting glasses that have the same HUD technology as are in his own Chameleon Goggles. He trained his skills as a sniper, using similar techniques that he uses for long distance photography, he worked to keep his borough safe.
