Tsaesci Kingdom Random Encounter Table

For travel within the realms of the old Tsaesci domain in Akavir, there is a heavy shrouding fog that permeates much of the land except for places like Septimia, Ionith, and other Forts or Cities.

D20Random Encounter
1-4An indiscernible light seems to permeate the Shroud. While still difficult to see through entirely, travel is unobstructed and all possible dangers are unable to hide themselves. Roll a Percentile; 50% chance(51-100) for a danger to be present but seen.
5-7Two trees are twisted together, spiraling up into the air. Despite the sickly look of these trees, they bear purple fruits, roughly the same size as an apple. The only way to get any of these fruits is to pluck from the tree. The fruit is sweet in aroma and taste and will give sustenance for a full day if eaten, ala the Goodberry spell. Any of these fruits plucked will spoil after 1d6 days of being harvested.
8-9The ruins of a single, tall tower is found. The ruin is pockmarked with holes from missing bricks or otherwise eroded construction. It is covered in a green fungus. If explored, 1d4 Shroud Wraiths and 1 Sicklescythe are found amidst its remains.
10-12A magical barrier is found within a clearing. The barrier encases a strange looking chest. A magical weapon can be found within this chest, however, the chest cannot be opened by any means. Once inside the barrier, none may leave. A wave of ambushers falls upon those that attempt to open it and only by defeating the ambush can the chest be opened and the barrier removed. Roll 1d8 to determine the strength of the ambush, spawning 1d4 creatures dependant upon the strength of the ambush.
13-15

The road becomes difficult to discern from the rest of the terrain. While wandering off the security of the road, the party randomly wanders into a camp of Shroud-tainted creatures. Roll 1d8.

16-18Two trees are twisted together, spiraling up into the air. Despite the sickly look of these trees, they bear purple fruits, roughly the same size as an apple. The only way to get any of these fruits is to pluck from the tree. The fruit is sweet in aroma and taste and if consumed, a DC 13 Constitution save must be rolled. On a failure, they suffer the poisoned condition and gain 1 point of Corruption.
19-20The flora of the Shroud begins to come to life. A tree, or some other large form of flora begins to animate, sprouting humanoid-like arms, becoming a Shroud Monstrosity and attacks if it perceives a threat.
