The Iron Mantle was the original Factory Worker’s Union within Midiston. It’s still prevalent today, many assembly line workers are still members of the Iron Mantle. Almost all of the factories represented by the Iron Mantle are purely technological, creating things like pocket watches, cannons for trading vessels, steam engines and boilers for power, and even those same machines for machinists to use.
This guild is the old guard, written in their contracts that none of their work can go to factories producing arcano-tech. Absolutely refusing to work in factories that utilise constructs, as well as outright denying any ABLEs from joining the Iron Mantle.
A member of the Iron Mantle Union is identifiable by the simple sheet metal pin that looks like a bolt with a textured cloth cloak in the centre. The entire pin is rough hewn and imprecise, demonstrating that they’re simple factory workers and not precision machinists. While the Union Officers and Committee Leaders wear angular shoulder plates made of wide iron strips, these members only wear these pauldrons for official meetings, otherwise they wear their simple sheet metal pins.
