Belldandy Bryant was never one to shirk responsibility. In other words, he was never one to not have responsibility placed upon him. From having to act mature from a young age to growing to a role of the negotiator among what few friends he had, Belldandy worked so others could have enough of the spotlight and let their voice be heard. It was a responsibility that followed him into adulthood, and into his first band.
It was shortly after he was chosen by a certain god of music, after a young man named Royce Beckett. The two started a band known only as the Songbirds, finding fellow Theoi Sybil, Tara and Asher. Belldandy thought that he could get used to having people have his back. Unfortunately, things changed as their music grew in popularity. Show after show, place after place, it was Belldandy who had to make sure that the band was well taken care of and the venues knew who they were. It was Belldandy who talked to show managers and hotels, scheduling whatever he could that would work for everyone--mostly to the detriment of himself.
While Belldandy drowned in what started as a fun adventure where his talents could finally be shown to the world, his "sibling" Royce flourished in freedom and favoritism. After months of being ignored and watching his work be credited to someone who only cared for what next adventure was in store, he decided to leave.
On a fateful night three months before becoming established as "The Beguiling Belldandy Bryant," the sonorous songster broke ties with the Songbirds. Royce, Sybil and Tara decided to continue with the band while Asher followed after Belldandy. For a time, the two were happy together, expanding their musical talents as well as their dynamic when it came to a relationship. The two eventually separated after a night of vulnerability turned into a heated argument, and Asher used Royce's favor with Apollo against Belldandy. After an earsplitting cry and shattered glass, Belldandy left his last tie to the Songbirds behind and decided to revamp his look to obfuscate whatever opinion remained from those who knew him before.
The now cold chanteur set his sights on finally making his own voice be heard, and by any means necessary.
