Iceore

A large snowclad city on a cliff edge with a largely human population. Icecore is a mining town and deep shafts go into both the rock below the town and into the sides of the surrounding mountains. The city is cloaked in snow and coated in ice all year round. It is exceedingly cold and with little wood nearby they reply on their aetheric energy collecting towers to heat their halls and hearths. They are proud to have the highest towers in the human lands and draw many barrels of energy due to their elevation. 

The streets are covered in ice but they are swept clean daily to allow the residents to ice skate between locations getting out of the cold quicker.

There is a river that runs by the town that unfreezes in the summer months allowing traders easier access to the town. It is in these months that most of the metals and jewels they mine from the mountain are transported out. In the winter months traders are rarer as few want to make the dangerous journeys through the ice and snow but those that do are able to charge high prices to the cities inhabitants when selling them their wares. There are several watch stations that overlook the river as it winds its way towards the city.
