The first wave of townspeople were either those who worked on the monastery or were paid to settle in Willowshore by the monastery. These folks originally lived south of the river and are thus referred to as Southbankers. Southbank residents are traditionalists, keen on maintaining Willowshore's culture and living simply off the land. Southbankers on principle think jorogumo are evil monsters and best avoided.
