Upon their arrival at the hallowed halls of Unknown, paladin of The Unknown Unknown beseeches the aid of the party to travel into the depths of Unknown, in search of a long-forgotten shrine to Unknown.


The party descends into long abandoned mine shafts under Unknown, seeking the shrine. In the depths they encounter several anchorites of Unknown who retreat after a brief skirmish. As the party chases the anchorites they travel further into the dark, down a shaft of stone, bone, and sorrow… toward the rumored shrine and into the fallow halls of death itself.


Arriving too late, their quarry descends even further into the Unknown, and the party stumbles into the den of a Bodak—a corrupted undead cleric of Unknown. Barely escaping with their lives, the party defeats the Bodak and gives further chase to the anchorites plummeting further into the starless night of the Unknown.


Through luck, grit, faith, and folly, the party emerges from dark and into daylight—a white throated croaker richer— deep under the shadow of Unknown. As they emerge they are confronted by a hooded figure on a nightmare steed and none other than Unknown’s sister, Unknown—wizard turned necromancer and harbinger of Myrkul's reign.


The party manages to evade destruction, but reels at several revelations learned through their travels in the dark. They head toward Silverymoon, and make camp along the road as a freak snow storm descends upon them. While the party sleeps Ivy stares into a flickering fire, twirling an unlit candle in her fingers and contemplating unanswered prayers…
