Fighting the shadow figures. Rawr
Ivy told dorbin that his waiver about donating his body to science is now retracted and she will bring him back to life.
one shadowy figure vanished and we cannot find it again.
Ivy doesn’t sense the undead in this odd cavern.
This seems to be where a piece of Merkel used to be housed.
Area seems maybe hollowed out.
I listen to the sounds in the cave and hear whispering in the cave. I tell Smig that there is whispering all around us. but I can’t tell what it is. Smig races off to find the whispers.
I tell Ivy that there are actually whispers.
Smig pulls out his unicorn coin and sees where it goes.
Smig follows the path of the coin. He hears a bit of the whispering. Smig suddenly feel something tight around his neck and pulls him.
Smig seems a humonaiod looking creature behind him and it says a couple words. The master does that like trespassers. Smig gets kidnapped and vanishes with the creature.
They have him grappled and in a cell. They don’t want tresspassers trying to steal the master’s treasures. Smig says he doesn’t care about treasure but that he just wanted to hear the whispers.
Can I still smell his unwashed clothes?? I try to sniff around where he vanished to see which direction he may be. I sense him to the right and north potentially?
I tell Jeth while chocking on Firbolg smell.
Jeth grabs on to me and sends out his arcane eye.
THere are statues down the cave frozen in moments of pain and torture. differente races, all in adventuring gear.
The eye continues on and butts up against a natural stonewall. A little to the northe left, the eye sees some crumbled rock and two figures running towards that passage.
Strange elflike animorph creature, furry. ONe that is more high standing. large black dog-like creature on a chain.
There are about 4 passage ways in the chamber.
Jeth sends the eye to the northeast passage and it loops around with more terrifying statues.
Jeth resends it to a lower passage and the eye blinks out of existence.
I go forward to the fork in the road and sniff deeply. It coming from both sides…I tell Jeth. It
everywhere like the damn whispers.
AS I walk into the passage way, an animal elf creature desenceds from a shadow crevase and tries to get me. It misses. I attempt to grabble it.
THe creature is pinned down by me. Jeth is charming it for me. It calls me a stupid dog!!
SMig hears that and yells “good dog”.
Jeth tells me to follow his lead. and “no, bad dog. drop it!” and pretends that I am his dog and that he is training me. I follow along and whine lightly and bow down to him. whines
The creature is annoyed and says their dogs are better trained. Jeth asks for training tips and help getting out of this cave that we have been lost in.
It asks if we are here to see the master? I tell Jeth that I heard Smig calling me a good dog.
Jeth plays along and says yes, to teh master and that we are looking for our friend too.
The master doesn’t not like present-less visitors. and the new acquisition for the masters collection.
Jeth tries to convince the creature that a firbolg doesn’t really fit with this collection he has going and the creature believes him. He wants a promotion and not to get in trouble..
Smig says that he is a perfect addition tot he collection. Jeth yells at me to shut him up but I can’t. I growl, jeth tells me bad dog. I whine and stop. thankfully the creatures don’t hear me.
SMig thundersteps on the other side of the cage. LOUD boom throughout the cave.
BOth creatures in the area instantly dies but the boom is heard everywhere.
SMig starts smelling around for me. He knows my scent well. Smig yells help and I Book over to him. I pick up his cane that he was kicking around.
Jeth makes a comment about “see what I mean? No focus”
SMig asks me to remove his binds. I bite them off and nibble him by accident. Success.
Meazels show up and are angered by it’s fallen comarades.
Jeth tells his Meazel that he needs to get this entire chaos under control. He really wants to get that acquisitions manager promotion. If he does this corretly, he will def get the promotion.
THe meazel runs in and follows Jeth’s idea and tells everyone to calm down!
NATURAL 20!!
Mog, what are you doing. You don’t know anything – other meazel
Mog says “I have a new idea. I have a new enterprise. I can double process and the master will reward us.”
Mog convinces everyone that he has a new brillaint plan and that Mog is in charge of acquisions.
The other meazels think that Mog will be taking the dire wolf and smig into the preparation room.
Jeth asks Icy about which relic of Merkel do we think may live here and how do we ask Mog about it? (in dwarvish)
Jeth carefully asks Mog about any body parts that the master does not turn into ‘beautiful sculptures’

The trophies in the hallway are to deter trespassers.
He keeps his special ones near him.
Ivy offers up her book as a special offering.
Mog wants to see it but Ivy hesitates. jeth tries to save her but Smig jumps in and says that if Mog reads it, it wouldn’t be secrets anymore.
The master is sleeping but he would like to know the god secrests.
Smig asks which way is the master and he points tot he top left door.
Dorbin says “I don’t think these fools know much about their masters” loudly.
Mog walks over to dorbin and pushes him back and says “we never wanted to serve the master. His will is too strong and we were forced to”
Dorbin will stumble and look up defiantly and the homunculus will growl.
“Prepare the basiliks” I have this under control.
Smig casts "crown of madness on the new one.
He orders him (shum) to attack Mog.
Jeth tells Mog that he has to maintain his authorty and leadership and have control of the situation.
Smig says to shun to kill Mog. Mog is ready to fight Shun.
Jeth tries to convince everyone that there is a non-violent way to handle this.
Mog believes in Jeth. Lowers his sword. Shun kills Mog. “I am the new Aqcisuiotions manager now”
Jeth is sad. Smig empties his pocket and find Gloop dead.
Gloop is dead….. oops. I left him with Smig and he thunderwave when kidnapped.
He asks Ivy how many diamonds we have.
Smig feels bad for the dog too.
We have a sad moment. Smig will keep Gloop’d body in hopes of ressurection one day.
WE are worried about basiliks and the sleeping master.
Smig wants to bring mog’s body to the beholder.
AS we sit here. Ivy and I get an intense feeling that someone is staring at us. I lower down and start growling.
Ivy whispers that we are being watched. No one else notices.
I tell jeth in mind link that something is watching, I don’t know what. I dont’ like it.
WE are being scryed recognizes Ivy. Jeth and Smig understand that someone is watching us and this is scrying.
To be scryed on as a person, there needs to be a familiarity or item from them.
Jeth wonders if we can move from the scrying location. I take the opportunity to get my shiny rock. The feeling goes away.
Smig invisibles for a few and opens the door to where the beholder is, peeks in and runs away.
Smig narrowly misses a trap.
Peeking in reveals a chamber. the moment, smigs foot passes the threshold, he turns un-invisible. and is faced with a sleepy beholder, blinking.
He hears a deep clicking and gutteral noise from the creature. and the giant toothy maw breaks into a wide grin.
It tries and fails to attack.
“Granmaster flash, I’ve heard so much about you. it would be a shame if you died” and cast immolation.
But the SPELL FIZZLES AND STOPS!
The beholder moves a bit around Smig. SMig tiptoes back over the doorway and runs out of the room.
Smig tells us that he met the Grandmaster Z and that the spells didn’t work in there and it’s awake.
Dorbin “do we have to run for our lives again?”
The group askes about the no magic in the room. and Dorbin pops up about the anti-magic field eye in the middle. .
WE try to figure out what to do. We need to attack.
How the hell do we fight this??
The beholder teleports into the room. Smig runs to fight. I see and I book it forward to bite. (I miss but I am still a wolf)
Long range magic seems to work when Ivy tests it.
Smig hits it with it’s staff and stunns it temporarily. The anti-magic shield is not when attacking. more defense.
I’m at about 3-5 hours of wild shape?
Khashana is freaking out. What the hell is this thing!!???
We all hit it really hard (except me).
When Smig’s stun ends, an eye beam with balck dark energy comes out of the creature at Jeth.
Jeth gets hit with a large amount of damage. Ivy gets slowed.
Jeth keeps it telekinsis held.
The beholder shoots a fear ray at the Beholder.
Smig falls asleep thanks to an eye beam.
The beholder is really concentrating on Jeth. It knows that he concentrating him.
Jeth is super low on health.
