Following the traditional caste based structure of the Elven assemblies, the Schattenwald Assembly is based in the expansive Schattenwald forest to the northwest of the Monarchy of Alvarium. Within the forest are various settlements made up of buildings that have been grown and guided by elven magic, each settlement is led by the Trunk, guided by Flowers and defended by Thorns; Branches hone their expertise while Roots carry out the mundane but necessary supporting tasks of society.
- Trunks - The ruling class, roughly equivalent to nobility.
- Flowers - The spiritual and magical class, roughly equivalent to the priesthood.
- Thorns - The military class.
- Branches - The artisanal class, those that dedicate their time to perfecting a particular skill.
- Roots - The class of commoners that carry out mundane but necessary tasks, roughly equivalent to a peasant class.
- Withered - The term used for outcasts and criminals that our now longer considered a part of elven society.
