Arachnophid

Many legged creatures with spider-like bodies and legs along with a long sinuous snake-like neck and head. They are capable of excreting a paralytic poison from their fangs  as well as spinning thick webs which they use to immobilise and cocoon prey for future consumption; larger specimen develop a thick scaled hide that acts as natural armour.
