The grey ooze first encountered in the Old Mines attached to Ironhold shares a great deal in common with other oozes and slimes that adventurers often encounter. They react on instinct to nearby food sources - including people - and when deprived of food go into an inert state though seemingly do not actually die from a lack of sustenance. The grey ooze itself is capable of paralysing those that stumble upon it and possesses mild acidic properties which is how it breaks down and consumes organic material.
