The Brass Vipers are primarily focused on establishing a structure and law, and to keep Ezeth from falling into complete chaos with the last that remains of civilization. Unlike their rivals, they aren't focused as primarily on being the most influential or most physically powerful, but preserving what remains of society. They aren't afraid to use brute force however, sometimes employing militaristic discipline which causes some to doubt their true intentions. Regardless, their power lies more within the Western and Southern stretches of Ezeth, and have frequent clashes against both the Jackals and the Watch.
Several years ago, they had trouble with a splinter group who advocated for more militaristic methods in order to distinguish themselves as the 'real' army of Ezeth, but the smaller faction was quelled soon after it rose. The leader was killed, and the members who repented and served their time were later allowed back into the organization. With the splinter group quashed, the group is focused less on militant brutality and order and more about protecting and upholding what laws do exist, and protecting towns against raiders, bandits, and roaming beasts that threaten common folk.
They are currently led by General Shavak, an orc warrior who is as indomitable as he is proud. He is supported by a number of Captains and Lieutenants in different camps spread throughout the area.
