Failte had a mortal child and, not wanting to lose them, starts running crazy experiments on them for many many years.
These are all notes I’ve cobbled together:
- thinking about if they really want to make *fae* life they might need to create a *fae* soul since technically, like other such planar things, they usually regenerate on their home plane. Thinking abt whether they’re going to try to force the fey wild into giving it life or if they’ll just steal someone else’s soul.
- What if you take someone’s shadow and someone’s ability to feel warmth and someone’s etc etc etc and put them all on something. Funny because they could be missing so many mundane things like.. they don’t have an echo or a reflection in water or the ability to smell and take comfort in incoming rain. What if they have a shadow that doesn’t match their own shape.
- how long has this taken
- what kinds of matter have they plucked from the wilds and weaved into them
What if they did this before and the first thing they’ve done to each creation as it comes to life is. Forced into hamburger time it To see if they come back.
they kept using a specific part from their half mortal child, and like idk if this would work but they keep using the half fae part of their soul and trying to combine it with other parts of fae creatures?
i think also like there needs to be … like there needs to be a memory attached to it
the memory of holding their hand when they died so they kept the hand. or their voice
their voice would be fucked up actually

They’d have at least one memory of being forced into hamburger time by them - if they let them keep it since it seems their specialty is with memories - but can u imagine reforming and this mega strange arch fey is holding ur face tears in their eyes. Like I have watched u go to hamburger time a thousand times
They could wake up each time either knowing it’s their parent or someone familiar,, that slowly gets more and more unfamiliar and uncanny as they keep getting forced into hamburger time
makes me also imagine that the arch fey does the same spiel every time they wake up so like
the same spiel and a different face that gets worse and worse
