Phantom Loop has had a notorious history, though it keeps itself mostly on the down-low. Most regulars know it can be pretty seedy, but there has never been enough out in the open on it to pin anything on its owner.
- The music is loud, but not so loud as to drown out coversation. Small groups together can talk just fine, one table to the next is pretty difficult.
- There’s a main floor, which features open tables and private booths spread out around a half-crowded dance floor run caross with strobing lights in almost hypnotic patterns.
- There is also an upstairs, which is quieter and more relaxed, but with its own entry fee and a large share of the space is used for gambling games.
