Kenjingumi

剣人 (sword man), not 賢人 (wise/virtuous man).

Easily identified by their distinctive, emerald green haori.

With Matsu Tsuko's arrival in Otosan Uchi to formally be recognized as the Champion of the Lion Clan, the Emerald Champion foresaw great potential for politically-motivated unrest. To that end, men and women, many of them ronin, have been recruited from the kenjutsu dojo of the city and tasked with keeping the peace.

Their mission has proven to be even more relevant after Matsu Tsuko's visit, resulting in their continued existence as a peacekeeping force patrolling the streets of the capital.

A branch of the group has expanded their influence to Ryoko Owari as an auxiliary unit under the command of the Emerald Magistrate Akodo Tadashi. This was organized in an attempt to be prepared should the same type of violence spread to the second largest city in the empire.
