(Literally Flower and Snake)

Half-hidden down a narrow alleyway, the small sign painted with a snake entwined in flowers next to the narrow entrance is the only indication that this establishment even exists. But then, you wouldn't be here to begin with unless you were looking for it.

Semi-private, dimly-lit tables are screened from one another around a brighter central performance area. They have a much smaller number of geisha than most tea houses with both submissive and dominant geisha's services available to patrons.

Quite differently from other tea houses, sake is not served and opium use is politely, but firmly forbidden. This is a place for interested parties to indulge in specific pleasures with a clear head.

Most evenings focus on a floor show consisting of a few performances with lengthy breaks between them. Songs, poetry recitation, dance... all with a distinctly provocative, playful tone to them, but always culminating in an erotic performance, typically rope bondage.

Such performances are more artistic than prurient, many with political or social satire (e.g. a Rokugani dressed as an exaggerated parody of a gaijin binds a blushing yamato nadeshiko, reenactments of the latest scandalous gossip) although they tend to exhibit a wide array of views with no overriding stance.
