Iron

Iron is a silver-white malleable metal that readily rusts in moist air, occurs native in meteorites and combined in most igneous rocks. It is the most used of metals as it alloys with most metals, used in everything from weapons to cooking pans to irons to fire pokers to furniture to all manner of everyday things. Pure iron, however, has the unique property of being strongly magically resistant, to the point where it is mildly toxic to the greatly magically-reliant Fae.
