After returning to Kingston, we are off to the Jendryng Ball.
KINGSTON
John Jendryng and Josephine Jendryng are there, as are Rosa Lytton nee Cleves, Niclas Elynbrigge-Kyngstowne and his consort Thalanil Carsatra. We are welcomed and Able dances with Lydia Cornwallis, the crowd of nobles take note.
Unexpectedly Stephen Wrightson is there, in an unknown capacity. He greets us, and Codex is moved to ask him, quietly, if he was indeed involved with his mother romantically. His face says yes but he avoids the question, enraging Codex to yell “I deserve to know!”. This causes a stir at the ball.
Abel quietly asks us to check to see if the Jendryng family knew about the attempted poisoning in the last ball. We find out that John Jendryng is suffering from early Dementia, and wasn’t involved. Young Victor is approached by Maud and he tells her that he was made aware that several servants were bribed by Antony Elynbrigge to poison the Royal Family throughout the night, and worked to prevent this.
