Home Again, Home Again

Wilderness

After a few days, we finally reach Lasthaven.

Lasthaven

We speak to the Steward, who dismisses his staff when he hears about what happened at Everlife.  He becomes very angry, realizing that the reason that there was no caravan sent south over the winter and early spring by White Star was because they KNEW what was happening.  He was surprised and shocked at the severity of the news.  We tell him the truth, and acknowledge that it is possible that the Lord might not have known.

We are told that the Dwarven caravan has not yet arrived, but we are informed that Aramel Goldbringer is the head of the Dwarven Trade Caravan to LastHaven.

The Steward is given a copy of the evidence, the gate logs and the testimonies of Michael and Albrect.  He believes us, and understand the danger of the roaming undead.  He agrees to make an announcement the next day, making the threat of the undead known, but avoid too many of the Noble Treachery details.  It is a compromise, but the safety of the Town is important.  We suggest constructing a stockade around the town, and the Steward agrees to discuss it further tomorrow.

We head back to the house and meet with Mouse and Brute. They tell us that White Star intimidated them a bit, there was an attempt at setting a fire but it was quickly put out.  Electrum and the chickens are fine.

We invite Katla over and she serves us some stew. She tried to cover up some bruises, but it is noticed.  White Star has punished her for interacting with us.  We look forward to this all being resolved tomorrow, and White Star coming to justice, and everything turning out all right.
