The Canals are the result of diverting a small river that flows down from the mountain peak. The Canals are navigated by the use of Gondolas rowed by a skeleton. This is the result of a collaboration between the Ren Family using their necromancy to animate the skeletons and the Malheart Family using their curses to bond the creature to the boat for eternity. The money paid to the macabre gondolier goes to them.
