The Silent Ones

The Silent Ones are a newly reforged band of Reclusians within the Obsidian Watch, their voices stolen by the torment they endured at the hands of the Blackscail Syndicate. Once proud warriors of various Stormcast chambers, they were captured during the fall of Anvilgard and subjected to unspeakable experiments by the aelven cabalists. The poisons and sorceries inflicted upon them did not corrupt them but wore away at their souls, fracturing their sense of self. When they were finally freed and reforged once more in Azyr, they returned as something... different. Their voices and much of their former selves had faded, leaving warriors bound in eternal silence and grim purpose.

Valtherion Graveward leads them, a warrior who once commanded his own retinue as a Retributor-Prime but is now little more than a spectral echo of who he once was. Though his memories are fragmented, his sense of duty remains unshaken. His presence is an eerie one—his cold gaze and soundless commands carry weight beyond words, and those who fight beside him speak of an unnatural stillness that seems to follow wherever he treads. Yet, even in his silence, his authority is absolute. His blade cuts with precise, emotionless efficiency, and when he fights, his warriors follow without hesitation, moving as one like the restless dead.

The Silent Ones earned their name in the Slaughter at Veilspire, where they descended upon a Khainite shrine hidden deep within the Ravaged Coast. Moving without war cries, they struck with terrifying precision, their every movement calculated and relentless. Their presence unnerved even the fanatical aelves, who faltered in the face of such spectral resolve. Though victory was theirs, no cheer rose from their ranks, no exultation in battle—only the quiet of warriors who knew no solace, only the duty that remained.
